The Assistant (Before & After)

A couple weeks ago I traveled to Dallas TX with my boss and mentor (Kurt Markus) for People Magazine. We were assigned to photograph the set and cast of Dallas. This show was super popular in the 70's 80's and early 90's. It ran I think for 14 seasons???? "WHO SHOT JR?" that was the biggest question ever.

Kurt made me stand in different spots on the set repeatedly to get angles and lighting right. With a roll of expired Fujichrome in camera he photographed me first without my knowledge...as soon as I heard the shutter go I started laughing. Here we have the before and after. My first epic shoot with the great Kurt Markus. (Thanks Boss) :)

Snowboard Design

I've been brainstorming ways to sell my photography. Custom design is something I've been dabbling in. If people like my photography and ski or snowboard then why now sell the products with my photographs on them?

This of course is the Rocking R Bar in Bozeman MT. The photographs on this board are from my signs project (started in 2009) These were taken before the March 5th Explosion in February of 09'

Holga Scans from Minnesota

I'm not sure what the name of this place was, but we stopped here on our way to Interstate Park in Minnesota a few miles outside of Lino Lakes. These sculptures were larger than life and pretty interesting. I should have brought more film. :)

Quick Stop en Route to Abequeue

I'm having so much fun with my Yashica and Holga medium format cameras. I can't wait to get a 4x5 some day :) It's good to be shooting film again.

Church @ Chimayo New Mexico

The church contains Holy Dirt. It is said that a crucifix was found on this hillside and was dubbed the miraculous crucifix of Our Lord of Esquipulas. My sister explained to me that people come from miles and miles away, WALKING, on a pilgrimage for the holy dirt every year.

When you walk out of the small room containing the hole from where the crucifix was discovered there's a second room full of crutches, casts, bandages, and photos of the deceased.

Supposedly the dirt is a holy healing dirt and visitors are welcome to take small samples of the dirt for their loved ones that need healing. It's a beautiful church.

Livingston MT (June 2011)

Here are a few more Yashica images from a trip to Livingston I took for work. I got to wander around the town and photograph some old signs that I photographed digitally back in 2009.

There will be more to come once I get scanning :)

Arlee & Creston BW

From my expired roll of 120 TX400. The film came out nicely and the scans are fun. The golf flag in the pasture makes me smile every time I see it. Only in Montana would we golfers put a fake green in our pastures and practice our chipping. Thanks Grandma for having that out there :)

Bloomsday Weekend Spokane WA 2011

The day before the big race my Aunt and Mom wandered around downtown Spokane with me while I aimed my Yashica Mat EM at anything and everything I could. One of my rolls was double exposed somehow with a few of my Livingston photos. But these I think came out nicely and are kind of interesting.
